I started collecting neon when I was around 11 years old but had always had an interest in it, even as a very young kid. I specifically remember staring at blue and red units behind a glass block bar at my local DQ. I think that's what sparked it.
Fast forward to five years ago(2020), at age 22, I had a piece in my collection that needed repairing. I found a local bender and he immediately offered to teach me the trade after discovering my fascination and admiration for the craft.
I'm 27 now and have been bending for almost 5 years. I spent the first three and a half years making neon art and signage for friends, family, and clients in the Cleveland area. I am now the Assistant Director of Neonworks, the neon shop at the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati. Come and visit!
This is a file I made and is downloadable from my Google Drive via the link. If you print it out at 100% size on 8.5x11 paper, the lengths of each mark set will be accurate. 90s and Double-backs.
