I first learned about neon at Alfred University from Fred Tschida 1990 to 94. eventually ended up in Seattle in 1996. Got a job at Western Neon. Eventually became a sign electrician. I now work for Heath Northwest as a sign electrician, I drive a 60 foot tall ladder truck around and fix electric signs. I have a neon shop at home, my wife Jen Elek and I have a studio where we work with metal and ceramics and neon. Jenny is also a glass blower. we make art. Our biggest show was at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma in 2014. Our most recent show was at Traver downtown Seattle, where we made the illuminated forest, which was Beer, sign style renditions of plants and animals. I-ve taught neon workshops at Pilchuck, urban glass in Brooklyn and Penland school of craft in North Carolina. this summer, we will be teaching a class at Pilchuck.
