Kat Kazlauskas has been working with glass for nearly fifteen years. Although she is new to neon bending, she has been a neon enthusiast for as long as she can remember. She is looking forward to being a part of the Neon Makers Guild and contributing her past experience as an arts organization board member to the NMG board. Her practice is focused on mixed media sculpture and site-specific installation. Her work often examines the entanglements of our social, emotional, and psychological relationships to Climate Crisis issues. Kat received a concurrent BFA in Art Practice and BA in Rhetoric from UC Berkeley in 2009. She received an MFA from UH Manoa in 2020. She currently lives and makes art in Seattle, WA.
