I had always wanted to make art with neon, so took some classes in DC and learned to bend. However after doing that I discovered there was a wealth of unused and salvaged neon tubing around, and started collecting it to use for sculptures instead of making new. So far that has resulted in one large installation of four groups of hanging 3D neon sculptures, that was interactive so users could light the neon by moving underneath them and waving their hands towards them. I called this piece (the first in a series hopefully) "Recycled Light - An Ode to Neon".
