Can't process yet but don't think their keepers anyway.

Oh that's great! Very nice. How long have you been practicing? I can't zoom in on the photo to take a close look, but I think it's good that you have a critical eye when it comes to the work you produce. Many times beginners are just so happy to finally have made something, they don't pay enough attention to whether or not the quality is acceptable. Letters are tricky, especially staying to the pattern so that the kerning and letter heights are all consistent. Looks like your Z's may be a little bit big, but I can't quite tell. Marking correctly is crucial, along with an awareness of how much you are stretching (or maybe over-stretching the glass while bending) Keep up that good practice work! Also, mmm....pizza. :)

I'm really new, four boxes of glass so far and about 6 months practice bending. Think your spot on about over-streaching and awareness. Think my goal is to produce the best few letter works and then keep remaking and improving. The best way I have found motivation is to stop when something feels repititious and start another few letter project. I'm other than groups it's just me in this. Don't know if my wish of being around other bender is good or bad but really glad I'm creating my own neon problems and not having someone bring me their problem and relying on me. What ya think?

Sounds like you are on the right track! I would eventually like to set up some bending demos/videos on the website here and maybe even do some bending Q & A's or something like that to help those of you who are practicing on your own and could use some guidance on some things. Maybe even take some "how-to" requests for videos. I just ordered a new phone (finally breaking free from my iphone shackles) and when it arrives in a couple of weeks I plan to make my first one. Is there something in particular you'd like a mini-lesson on? Maybe I can start with that. :)
